About CTI Servers
CTI Servers is a hardcore military simulation gaming community running dedicated servers for SCUM and SQUAD. Founded by mil-sim enthusiasts, we focus on tactical, immersive gameplay with a mature and active player base.
Our servers are PvE-oriented with organized operations, active staff, and a Discord community that coordinates everything from casual sessions to full planned military operations.
How to Join
Step 1 — Join the Discord
Discord is the heart of the CTI community. Join at discord.gg/ctiservers to get server announcements, find squadmates, and access support.
Step 2 — Read the Rules
Familiarise yourself with the Community Rules before joining any server. All players are expected to know and follow them.
Step 3 — Install Required Mods
Some servers require mods before you can connect. See the Mods & Downloads section for what's needed for each game.
Step 4 — Connect
Head to the Servers page and click the JOIN SERVER button on the card for your game.
Connection Information
Direct connection details are shown in the BattleMetrics widget on each server card. Server IPs are also pinned in the relevant game channels on Discord.

SCUM Guide
Overview
Our SCUM server runs a PvE configuration focused on survival and cooperation against AI threats. Player-vs-Player combat is restricted to designated conflict zones only.
Getting Started in SCUM
- No client-side mods required — connect and play
- Spawn near other players for easier early-game survival
- Check Discord for current loot respawn schedules and active zones
- Enable proximity voice chat for in-camp coordination
Base Building Rules
- Do not block roads, POIs, loot spawns, or town entrances
- No stealing people's cars/gear at their base
- Do not break into other players' bases
- Bases inactive for 14+ days may be wiped by staff
- Grief-building (building to trap or harass other players) is a bannable offence
- VOIP is preferred so players don't engage in combat with each other
Tips
- Puppets (AI) scale in difficulty — don't wander into high-threat zones unprepared
- Group up for raids on military POIs; they're significantly harder solo
- Coordinate vehicle use in Discord — vehicles can be claimed/shared with the community
SQUAD Guide
Overview
SQUAD rewards communication and coordination. Solo freelancing is allowed but you're expected to contribute to your squad's objectives. In-game VOIP is strongly encouraged.
Required Mods
Install all required mods via Steam Workshop before connecting. The mods should auto-download; ask staff in Discord for help if you have any issues.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Squad Leader: Must use VOIP. Responsible for FOB placement and order-giving.
- Medic: Prioritise revives over kills. Always carry a medkit.
- Logistics: Critical for sustained pushes — coordinate supply runs with your SL.
- Rifleman: Follow SL orders, hold positions, and communicate enemy contacts.
Etiquette
- Don't steal vehicles from other squads without permission
- Don't place FOBs without your Squad Leader's direction
- Stay with your squad — lone-wolfing tanks team effectiveness

Mods & Downloads
SCUM
No client mods required. Connect directly — all server-side mods are applied automatically.
SQUAD
Mods are installed through the in-game Workshop browser. When you first connect to CTI Command OPS, you'll be prompted to install any missing mods automatically.
Staff & Contact
Who Are Staff?
CTI staff are volunteer community members responsible for moderation, server maintenance, and organised events. They're identifiable by their coloured roles in Discord.
Contacting Staff
- In-game issues / rule violations: Open a support ticket in Discord
- Ban appeals: Open a ban appeal ticket in Discord
- Event suggestions: Post in the suggestions channel
- Do not DM staff directly — use the ticket system so issues are documented
Staff Applications
Applications open periodically when we need additional staff. Requirements include being an active community member for 30+ days, a clean in-game record, a working microphone, and availability for moderation duties. Watch #announcements for openings.
