Overview
CTI Command OPS is our SQUAD server. Instead of team-vs-team, it runs [COOP] Platoon Operations, a pack of campaign-style co-op missions where everyone on the server fights AI together. The missions are built for dedicated servers and sized for around 20 players.
SQUAD rewards communication and coordination over individual skill. Squads that talk, move together, and back each other up win, and lone wolves don't.
Freelancing is allowed, but everyone's expected to pull their weight for their squad's objectives. In-game voice is strongly encouraged, and Squad Leaders are required to use it.
Connecting
- Own SQUAD on Steam and have it installed.
- Join: click JOIN SERVER on the SQUAD card on the Servers page. It launches SQUAD and connects you directly. You can also search "CTI Command OPS" in the in-game server browser.
- Join the CTI Discord at discord.gg/ctiservers for announcements, squad finding, and support.
Mods
The server runs our own mission pack, [COOP] Platoon Operations, on the Steam Workshop. It needs Supermod as well. When you first connect, SQUAD prompts you to install anything missing and downloads it automatically.
- Subscribe ahead of time to Platoon Operations on the Workshop. It's a large download (around 440 MB), so it's better done before your first join than during it.
- Can't connect? Unsubscribe from the mod, then resubscribe. That forces a fresh download and fixes most connection problems.
- If you're still getting kicked for missing content, open a support ticket in Discord and staff will help.

First Steps
- Read the rules before your first game. Everyone's expected to know them.
- Join a squad, don't go it alone. A squad with a working Squad Leader is where SQUAD makes sense.
- Pick the kit your squad needs, not just the one you like. A squad without a medic or logistics falls apart fast.
- Listen first. Follow your Squad Leader's calls, and ask if you're not sure what they want.
- New to SQUAD? Say so on comms. Most players are happy to help someone who's trying.
Roles
| Role | What's expected |
|---|---|
| Squad Leader | Must use voice. Responsible for FOB placement and giving orders to the squad. |
| Medic | Prioritise revives over kills. Always carry a medkit. |
| Logistics | Critical for sustained pushes. Coordinate supply runs with your Squad Leader. |
| Rifleman | Follow your Squad Leader's orders, hold positions, and call out enemy contacts. |
Comms
Communication is what SQUAD is built around.
- Use your mic. Voice is strongly encouraged for everyone and required for Squad Leaders.
- Keep squad radio clear. Call contacts short and useful: what, where, how many.
- Squad Leaders coordinate with each other so squads aren't working against one another.
- Planned operations and squad-up calls happen in the CTI Discord, so check there before big sessions.
Etiquette
- Stay with your squad. Lone-wolfing hurts the whole team.
- Don't place FOBs without your Squad Leader's direction.
- Don't steal vehicles from other squads without permission.
- Banter is fine; abuse isn't. Treat other players with basic respect.
Vehicles
- Vehicles belong to the squad that claimed them. Ask before taking one.
- Don't take community vehicles without arranging it in Discord first.
- Bring vehicles back to spawn areas after use where you can.
- Report abandoned or stuck vehicles in Discord so staff can reset them.
